Deletion is by email. Write to [email protected] with the subject Delete my account and put the mobile number the account is registered on in the message. There is no delete button inside the app, so email is the only way to ask, and it is one we act on.
We will reply to that email and ask you to confirm from the number on the account, so that nobody can close somebody else's account by writing to us. Until you confirm, nothing is deleted. If we cannot reach you on that number we will say so, and the account stays as it is.
We complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming it is you, and we write back to tell you when it is done.
You do not have to close the account to get something taken off it. If it is a single item — a document you uploaded, a saved place, your photograph — write to the same address and say which one. We will remove it and leave the rest of the account alone.
A record of completed trips is kept in a form that is no longer linked to you. We need it for two reasons: the other people on those trips have their own ride history, and a dispute or a safety report that is already open has to remain reviewable until it is closed.
Where the law requires us to retain something for a set period, we keep only that, only for that period.
Deleting an account is permanent. If you sign up again later with the same number, you start fresh: a new profile, no ride history, and driver verification from the beginning.
